Job Summary:
The Eatery Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across all areas of the restaurant, including dining areas, restrooms, kitchen surroundings, and waste disposal zones. The role ensures a safe and pleasant environment for customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize dining areas, restrooms, floors, and service areas.
- Empty trash bins and ensure proper waste disposal.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors regularly.
- Refill supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Clean windows, doors, walls, and light fixtures as needed.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness around the kitchen and food service areas (excluding food preparation).
- Report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
- Support during deep cleaning and closing procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous janitorial or cleaning experience (preferred but not required).
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move around for long hours.
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as scheduled.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced eatery or restaurant setting; may involve exposure to cleaning agents and moderate noise.
